I have a big interest in preventative medicine. There are many things
that you can do that are incredibly important for your health and I
wouldn’t want you to minimize your efforts in any one category. But I
wanted to know, what comes first? In this visual lecture, I answer the
old question “What is the single best thing we can do for our health” in
a completely new way.
This is a fantastic video from Jason Vale about "why we should juice". Jason uses a fish in dirty water to describe how toxic environments make us sick and how we normally try and treat the symptoms not the cause. Take a look!
Here Jason Vale offers his insights into the world of juicing and tells
us how drinking delicious, freshly extracted fruit & vegetable
juices can be incredibly beneficial to your health and well-being.
Every food on the planet has come under some criticism with the
notable exception of fruit and vegetables. These foods nourish every
cell in the body, help prevent disease, flush the system of waste and
contain more vitamins and minerals than you can rattle a plum at, and
there isn’t a single person on the planet with any shred of common sense
that could possibly argue against these magnificent foods!
I have been extremely privileged to bring a juicy lifestyle to
hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. When I set out to
‘Juice The World’ I never truly envisaged the incredible impact juicing
would have not only on virtually every aspect of physical, but also on
people’s mental well-being and life in general.
I know first hand the sheer power of the juice. I suffered from
severe asthma, incredibly bad psoriasis, eczema, hay fever and one of
the most common ailments to hit the UK population - being overweight.
Yet by simply swapping my normal junk(ie) foods and drinks for a freshly
extracted juice or two a day and by adding a touch of exercise to daily
life, my mental and physical health improved beyond anything I had
envisaged.
I just made a Carrot Beetroot Broccoli Celery Apple Orange Juice - It was AWESOME!
I'm currently living and working in Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam and I really struggle to find "Buff Food" living out near the airport away from the city, so I've had to improvise!
This is a super fast super easy lunch that I came up with today, consisting of spinach, green beans, tuna tomato and ultra fine rice paper.
Drain the tuna - chop the vegetables - mix up a light vinegar for flavor full dip and start wrapping!
Day one
and part of me can't believe that I'm actually starting this blog after
23 years of constant partying, good times and fast living. You see I'm
whats commonly referred to as "The Party Guy" the guy who drops
everything in pursuit of beer and hooliganism. My ex said to me once
that "I'm the kind of guy who would go to the opening of a Post Office
if there was free beer" .. and I guess she's right.
But
somethings happened. My "Toughen Up" approach to hang overs and "Get
Back On The Horse" rhetoric has totally lost it's mojo and I'm just a
fat lazy cunt. I'm a bar fly who has burnt out his body used up all his
serotonin and I'm starting to run low on the Holy Grail "Libido".
My face is red, I get rashes on my skin, I have man boobs, chicken arms and chicken legs and when my girlfriend was taking these photo's I was so ashamed of myself I could hardly look at the camera.
Who am I? I'm "Speedy" a 39 year old party animal from Australia. "Speedy" is the fun nick name I've earned from my friends and family, but in reality it describes my personality - fun, fast and stupid.
Today is 1st August 2014 and in 11months from now I'm going to be 40 years old but I'm not going to be a fat cunt anymore. Today is the day I change my habits, my eating and lifestyle for the better.
